As predicted RLA’s chess team dominated the 11-week chess tournament at Bishop’s Keep in St. Catharines with all three RLA players in the top three.

Steven Tang was so far ahead his first-place finish was guaranteed. Steven received a gold medal and a book. He chose a book on the Ragozin Defense.

Dimias Sutherland was consistently winning each week until the final three weeks, when he was unable to attend the tournament. Despite the absences, he took second place. And Thomas Uzan, who missed innumerable weeks of the chess tournament, finished third. Both Sutherland and Uzan received chess books as well.
