After a long exhibition season our Loyalist cross country team was ready to attack the day at Zone last Wednesday Oct. 25/2023. The day started off with Pedran Jenkins improving his time once again and advancing to SOSSA as an individual for novice boys. Pedran finished fourth place for his event.
Groups of boys have taken advantage of the warm weather to canoe up and down the Welland River that runs along the edge of RLA property.

In August the Academy received the sad news that former Headmaster LCol (retired) Ryan Smid had passed away after a tough battle with pancreatic cancer. A Celebration of Life for Col Smid has been planned for Saturday, Nov 18.

On Wednesday, May 31, our Loyalist soccer team travelled to the Welland Youngs Sportsplex in a rematch of last year's Niagara Region High School Athletic Association Tier Two Soccer Championship game, pitting RLA against the Stamford Collegiate Hornets.
The Grand Bend Sport Parachute Centre has helped Robert Land Academy students and staff members get a taste for flight for many years and we couldn't be happier that despite the loss of Bob Wright, Mary is continuing their proud tradition of initiating students into the world of parachuting.
After classroom sessions and pool sessions earlier in the month two students and a staff member completed their open water dives to earn their PADI Open Water Scuba Diver, the first certification level in recreational diving.
