Over the March Break 2023, a small group of RLA staff along with Nicholas Thompson and Stephan Paterson travelled to New Mexico to take part in the Bataan Memorial Death March.

The Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging march through the high desert terrain of the White Sands Missile Range.

The memorial march is conducted in honor of the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health, and, in many cases, their very lives.

The march is completed by thousands of people each year including military personnel and civilians taking part as individuals or as teams. This year the RLA group finished the march a full half hour before the first-place light infantry team.

While in New Mexico the team also visited some historic sights.
