At the break of dawn on Tuesday morning, Capt. Dyson was nice enough to take A Coy back to Depot and teach them how to unpackage and cook an MRE (Meals Ready to Eat), and an IMP (Individual Meal Pack’s) on a dragonfly stove.  Afterwards, the boys got to choose either an MRE or IMP and cook them with Capt. Dyson. It was determined that the IMP breakfasts were better than the MRE breakfast packs.  The sausage and hashbrowns were voted the tastiest breakfast.  Those that can’t eat pork enjoyed maple flavoured baked beans.  Of course the coffee, hot sauce and matches were removed from the packs before the boys tore them apart for the sugary drinks.
