James Paterson, Alumni Committee Chair – I was really pleased when LCol Smid invited alumn to take part in the Fall Exercise in 2021. It lead to my son becoming an RLA Cadet but also to a re-connection with the school, re-connecting with other alumni, and the creation of a Homecoming weekend for alumni.
This year, Homecoming will take place May 26 through May 28, 2023. Like last year there will be plenty of time for alumni to chat with each other and share memories as well as some friendly competition with current students and staff.
Alumni are welcome to stay on campus in Fitzgibbon Hall for the weekend. It is not luxurious and is offered on a first come, first served basis. While on campus we will be invited to eat in the Mess Hall with staff and students, which given the quality of food served at RLA is always a welcome invitation.
Like last year family of alumni are welcome to attend however, they are not permitted to stay on campus. If you bring family you will need to make arrangements for other accommodations.
We are currently finalizing details of the weekend and the specific schedule of events with the ASM. As soon as it is finalized a registration link will be emailed to all alumni. Registration is $70 and includes a Homecoming jersey.
I look forward to reconnecting with many alumni at RLA in May.
