By Capt. Aoki – On Monday evening, Jan. 23, 2023, Dimias S travelled to The Bishop’s Keep Chess Studio in St. Catharines to continue with the small, eleven-week tournament. 

Dimias easily defeated one of the stronger players from The Bishop’s Keep club. He then proceeded to win all of his non-tournament games.

Captain Aoki, who runs RLA’s chess club, is not permitted inside the room where the tournament games are played.

Instead of watching Dimias play, and being a support for him inside the room, Captain Aoki sat in a connecting room and “looked at a cat.”

It is apparent Dimias doesn’t need a cheering section or moral support.
