Six boys travelled to Thompson Creek Elementary School in Dunnville on Wednesday to test their skills against the best in the Dunnville/Cayuga/Caledonia areas.
Keenan Campbell started us off strong by running a very tactical race in the 800 meters and leaving his competitors in the dust over the last 100, winning with ease and moving on to the CAGE meet next week.
Sebastien Powless followed Keenan’s performance with personal bests in the 100m, 400m, and shot put. Kayleb Alvarez added personal bests in shot put. Seif Elnahas also had personal bests in triple jump and shot put.
The boys were all smiles all day long anticipating the last field event of the day, senior boys high jump. Our own personal springboard, Ian Bundas, was in some tough competition. By the end, Ian finished 5th with a personal best of 1.40m.
