Committed To Meeting Goals in Badminton

B Company Report

By Barman Cheung – I have been attending Robert Land Academy for three months, and this year I had the privilege of joining the school’s badminton team for the first time. I was excited to try my hand at this competitive and skill-based sport. Fortunately, Robert Land Academy provided me with excellent badminton courts and a professional coach, coach Major Stock, who helped me improve my game.

With coach Major Stock’s guidance, I was able to perform well in my sub-zones tournament, defeating several players and securing second place. However, I faced a tougher challenge in the zone tournament, where I lost to the second-place winner.

Nevertheless, I was determined to learn from my mistakes and come back stronger next year. My ultimate goal is to win the zone tournament and have the opportunity to play in SOSSA. During my training sessions with Major Stock he pointed out that I need to work on my cardio and backhand shots to improve my game further. This summer, I plan to train every day and focus on these areas so that I can prepare adequately for next year’s tournament.

Participating in badminton this season was an incredible opportunity for my career and I look forward to continuing to participate in the sport next year. I’m committed to my goal and will work tirelessly to bring more victories and accolades to Robert Land Academy.
